Emad Aljahdli

Emad Aljahdli began his career in the United States at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, which was founded by Dr. Frank Lahey in 1923 to be a bastion of specialized care for all patients on an individual basis. What Dr. Lahey wanted in his medical facility was a way for patients who needed it to access the care and treatment of leading specialists in a variety of medical fields. Emad Aljahdli hopes to embody his vision in his own care of patients as well one day. The Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is committed to compassionate care. It is also owned and operated by the physicians themselves as a nonprofit practice group. In addition to its specialized teams working together to treat one patient at a time, the facility is also home to advanced medical technology and medical education.

Emad Aljahdli - Rising Gastroenterologist

Emad Aljahdli is a highly trained and educated Gastroenterologist in the Boston area. After moving there in 2005 and completing his required Internal Medicine residency in 2007, he started working to develop his skills in more specialized areas such as liver diseases and Hepatology with more residency work. He is now working on medical trials for new Gastroenterology treatments that he hopes will have a lasting effect on the medical community as a whole. Gastroenterologists like Emad Aljahdli are concerned with the body’s digestive tract. From the esophagus to the colon, Gastroenterologists have to understand how the system works to process food and absorb nutrients while disposing of waste at the same time. Emad Aljahdli also had to learn how to recognize common Gastroenterological disorders and how to treat them. Many times doctors like Aljahdli have little to go on during an initial patient visit other than the patient’s word. Part of the training of a Gastroenterologist involves discerning medical details from what the patient tells them. Getting and processing the right information from each patient is part of the medical training of any doctor, Gastroenterologists included.

Emad Aljahdli has helped many patients on an individual basis already through his residencies and training in the Boston area, where he learned how to work with doctors and patients to diagnose disease and make recommendations for treatment. He also contributes to the academic study of Gastroenterology.

He trained and completed fellowships with some of the best medical teachers and professionals in the world at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in the Boston area and continues to treat patients. None of this would have been possible for Dr. Aljahdli if he hadn’t passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
